a joint family dinner

my housemates and I have have a house full of friends in another house who also have family dinners and call them, well, family dinners. so we invited them over for a joint family dinner! it involved about a dozen people, at least 5 people operating in our small kitchen at any given moment to prepare pancakes (with apples and blueberries inside), fake sausage, real bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and fruit salad with no less than 10 different kinds of fruit. there were mimosas and bloody marys and new art on the wall, as well as a bike ride to watch the sunset, speed scrabble, and lots of laughs.
