ecofont

I was just reading about this new typeface called ecofont. It uses 20% less ink in print because there are small swiss-cheese like holes in the letters. Makes sense. Interesting.

A lot of printers seem to use soy/veggie based ink now anyway, so just avoid petroleum-based coatings and you're good to go. Besides, it's easy (and not horribly expensive) to print on recycled papers, even FSC-certified papers seem very accessible to anyone specifying paper.

Or what about using a super thin font, like Interstate Hairline, to save ink:

Or better yet, only print what you need, and use only the best and most appropriate words. Fluff is overrated. Unless there are marshmallows involved.
